Hollywood A-listers tweeting about a Ugandan warlord #StopKony

Joseph Kony is the leader of the Lord's Resistance Army in Uganda and Congo, the LRA. It is a group with a supposed aim of establishing some form of tehoocratic government based on the Ten Commandments throughout Uganda.
The LRA has a reputation as a brutal organisation and has kidnapped thousands of children to fight. They have caused numerous gory and horrible crimes against humanity ever since. Kony has been indicted by the ICC at the Hague, but has evaded capture since.
Nearly 50 million people have viewed a 30 minute video produced by Invisible Children aimed at raising awareness about the Lord's Resistance Army, which has kidnapped tens of thousands of children and forced them to fight as child soldiers or work as sex slaves. Tori Spelling, Oprah, Rihanna and Kim Kardashian are among the celebrities who have taken up the fight.
