Sadiq Adeojo, a Nigerian youth was yesterday sentenced to 30 years in prison. Sodiq was sentenced for his role in the murder of another Nigerian youth, 17-year-old Sylvester Akapalara in December 29, 2010. Sodiq Adeojo, 20, was part of the Brixton GAS Gang who chased and killed Sylvester Akapalara and two friends. Until his death, Sylvester was a promising 400-meter runner with Herne Hill Harriers. He was hit in the neck by a bullet by the gang members.
